Introduction

The Pakistan Ethanol Manufacturers Association (PEMA) was established in 2008. The Association comprises of 20 ethanol distilleries operating in Punjab, Sindh & Khyber Pakhtunkhawa. PEMA is loosely knit allowing its members to remain active under provincial zones. Pakistan Ethanol Manufacturers Association is playing a pivotal role in promoting the development and attaining efficiency in the best interest of the ethanol industries within the parameters and policy of the Government of Pakistan and to provide legal protection to Ethanol Buyer & Seller under the government law. The PEMA is a legal entity duly registered with DGTO(Ministry of Commerce & Industry, government of Pakistan Islamabad vide Licence No.154 as well as registered with the Security & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) vide their Certificate No.0077832. At present Pakistan is in the top three countries of best producer and exporter in the world. 95% of total production of Ethanol in Pakistan is being exported throughout the world. USDA Foreign Agriculture Service GAIN REPORT issued by Global Agriculture Information Network stating that there is best quality of production of Ethanol in Pakistan.
